Never A Rest!

Saturday I thought I would take the day off! Started with blood donation at 8:00, they said it might have been a record, filled a pint in 5 min and 23 sec. next was straighten up the back yard, clean the pool and get ready for Emma's 6Th birthday at 3:00. We had to be at Gavin's baptism by 11:00. It was a good turn out. Cita played the piano, Gavin's Grandma Ellsworth gave the talk about Baptism. His Dad Baptised and Confirmed him and Ken and myself were the witnesses. It is so amazing how much Gavin has grown and how much older he seems after being Baptised.

After stopping and getting a burrito at Chapolte's it was back to the house to help joe finnish prepping the back yard for the birthday swim party. Both Joe and Erin really went over the top, it was a two part party with a time schedule. 3:00-4:00 kids Swim; from 4:00-5:00 They rode Jaylee around the pasture; and from 5:00-6:00 they ate and swam. It was pretty hot around 109 degrees. From 6:00-9:00 Erin's family came by for pizza and did a little swimming.I don't think I got to bed before 12:00.

Family Tradition

Last weekend Joe, Rhett and myself decided to head over to California for a short trip just in time to make Stacy's Birthday! I will have to admit, that wasn't our main objective. We stayed with Stacy and I truly enjoyed the time we spent with her, Reese, Corley, and Natalie. Rhett, Hutton, and Joe chartered a small boat to spear fish down in Mexico. I played a round of golf with Pete at his Country Club. He has been playing all year without a golf cart or pull cart. He didn't have to talk me into it. I was dumb enough to volunteer to walk with him. Me being the less than average golfer that I am, really enjoyed the punishment. If you have never walked 18 holes carring your clubs, and playing buy the rules you haven't lived life to the fullest.
Kim had a dinner party for Stacy, Drew cooked the traditional Cita Tacos, he must of cooked for 3 hours making salsa, Tacos, tostados, and Drew's friend Ben made the deserts. We all got to visit with each other over dinner, and birthday cake(teramesu)(can't spell). Stacy is really 55 years old. ouch!!! I say that because I am right behind her. We all decided that we would try to make it one of our priorities to make the trip each year especially if Drew's Cita Tacos are the main course.
